We have five weeks of virtual STEM summer camp. These are three days a week, with 9 hrs. a week of instructor-led activities. Optional self-paced activities will be provided to keep kids busy all week. You can register for one week or all five weeks

NOTE: The start time and duration has changed for the summer. If you are interested in registering please email me prior to registering. We will have lessons and activities on civil, environmental, and sustainability engineering. Some of these activities will include building structures in Minecraft. This virtual camp over three days provides a sampler of the yearlong Minecraft Time Travel Civil Engineering Curriculum
This is the first week of a 4-week series of virtual biomedical engineering STEM camps. During this week, June 21st to 23rd, we will introduce students to the biomedical engineering career. In addition, we will build a prosthetic hand and leg, among other activities.
This week, we will explore the skeletal system, discuss bones' function, play an online skeleton game, and build a skeleton in Minecraft. We will also discuss fractures and design and make a cast. Every session will have hands-on activities that kids can follow and try at home using materials easily found in school supplies and around the house.
This week July 6th to 8th, we will learn about different types of muscles and emulate movement with pulleys. We will explore 3D printing and how it can be used to engineer muscles. Every session will have hands-on activities that kids can follow and try at home using materials easily found in school supplies and around the house.
This week July 12th to 14th we will build upon what we have learned about the musculoskeletal system and biomedical engineering and explore applications in regenerative engineering and orthopedic surgery. The kids will model human embryonic development using play dough. We will also teach kids to explore websites of real medical products such as MACI™ used for cartilage repair and Exogen™ used to help bones heal. Every session will have hands-on activities that kids can follow and try at home using materials easily found in school supplies and around the house.
